A good solid Late Victorian tin travelling trunk with a black lacquered finish and clasped beech protective strappings to all sides. Internally it has it’s original coppered finish which is unusual. The hinges and leather straps are much later additions but ensure that it’s original purpose is unaffected. There is still port of label for the Cunard Line with the printed name Dr W.S.
